filterAn apprenticeship is for people aged 16 and over and involves learning whilst working on the job. An inclusive apprenticeship means that young people with a learning difficulty or disability are exempt from the regular Maths and English requirements. This allows the apprentice to use an Entry Level 3 qualification in English or Maths to access a Level 2 intermediate apprenticeship.
They last between 12 months and 5 years depending on the academic level and were introduced so that young adults who were either disabled or who had an Education Health and Care Plan have an effective pathway into employment.
