Employment and Training

Young man working on a car engine

Moving on from full-time education can be a worry for the young person and their family. To assist those young people with additional needs, the school will begin planning with the young person as part of their annual review meeting.   Their Information, Advice and Guidance Personal Adviser are available to provide ideas and suggestions about the options available when they leave school.  These options might include getting a job or doing a course that will help get ready for work, starting an apprenticeship or volunteering.

There are a number of organisations across Essex that support young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to prepare for work and to find a job.

This section contains information about these organisations and the services they provide to support young people into employment.
