Holding keys and model house

Everybody has the right to a valued place where they feel safe and happy - a home.

In most cases this is at home with parents and/or family.  However, for some people with learning disabilities, their physical or emotional needs can make finding a home problematic.

In Essex there are various housing options available to support people with additional needs.  In this section you will find information about the different options available and what may be required to access them.

If you are a young person with a disability or health problem but have trouble getting about safely and independently in their home, changes can be made to help them overcome the problem and make their home far more suitable. For what is available see the Essex Living Well website
