Brentwood Centre – Chat 1st Youth Programme

The Chat 1st Youth programme at the Brentwood Centre runs weekly classes and activities during term time. These are all with the aim of improving physical, mental and social wellbeing.

Brentwood Running Club Youth Run Together Group (for ages 12 to 19) Wednesdays, 4.50pm to 6pm Open to all abilities. Run by England Athletics qualified leaders.
Youth Boxing Club (for ages 14 to 19 or up to 25 for young people with additional needs) Wednesdays, 7pm to 8pm A fully inclusive class. Accessible for wheelchairs.
Yoga (for ages 12 to 19) Thursdays, 5.30pm to 6.30pm A great stress buster with teen yoga and mindfulness.
Friday Night Takeover (for ages 12 to 19) Fridays, 5pm to 7pm A whole host of activities including mixed martial arts, volleyball, football, basketball, tag rugby, netball, parkour, dance classes, swimming, a chill out zone and more.
Autism and Additional Needs Gym Sessions (for ages 12 to 19) Saturdays, 4pm to 5pm All sessions are in the Gym, led by Ben and supported by a Chat 1st Team Activator. Ben is a fully qualified gym instructor, who has a diagnosis of autism himself.


Booking is not required.  You can turn up on the day or register online.


The cost is £2 per session.  It is free for anyone on means tested benefits.
