Stay and play sessions

Colchester Toy Library runs a sensory stay and play session called Sensory Squeezies for children with additional needs on Tuesdays at 1pm.

During term time, this session is for under fives.  In the school holidays, the session is for 4 to 7 year olds. See SEN Family Support at Colchester Toy Library Facebook page to stay updated with dates and times.

Parents are also welcome to come along to these sessions without their children for peer support.

Booking

You don’t need to be a member of the library to attend the sessions, you can just turn up.

Cost

Sessions are free, but a suggested donation of £1.50 is welcomed.

Sensory library

Families can also borrow a range of sensory toys and specialist equipment from their sensory library.

This is free for members of the Colchester Toy Library (membership to the library costs £15 a year).

Soft play area

There is a small soft play area and a sensory area that all children can use while at the toy library.
