Community Children’s Nursing Team (CCNT)
We offer the following services:
- Intravenous therapy including antibiotics, immunotherapy, chemotherapy Parenteral Nutrition
- Care of Central Venous Access Devices (Hickman Line/Ports)
- Monitoring children requiring oxygen at home
- Stoma care
- Support of the Neonate
- Enteral feeding support
- Support for children with eczema
- Wound care
- Palliative Care and End of Life Care
- Assessment and monitoring of child’s ongoing illness
- Training and Education to families, carers and health professionals
Who the service provides for
0-16 year olds who have an acute or chronic illness with a nursing need.
Hours of operation
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
How the service is accessed
The care can be given in the community at home or school/nursery with the consent of the parents and the educational department if care is required there.
