Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Service (EWMHS)

The Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Service (EWMHS) provides emotional wellbeing and mental health advice and support for young people and their families across Southend, Essex and Thurrock who are in need of support with their emotional wellbeing or mental health difficulties. Their Instagram account is designed to help support young people through creating content alongside young people. The aim is to raise awareness of a wide range of wellbeing challenges and empower young people to take more control of their own mental health. Please share with your pupils and families.

The type of support will vary depending on the type of concern and the severity. Types of support include:

  • online self-help
  • signposting
  • crisis support
  • specialist assessments
  • face to face therapy either individually or in groups.

Who the service provides for

0 to 18 year olds and up to 25 with SEND.

Hours of operation

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
