The Holly Wheelchair Service provide wheelchairs and other equipment to adults or children in West Essex who have a permanent disability which prevents them walking.

How to access

Adults or children in need of a wheelchair because of a permanent disability, must be registered with a GP in West Essex.

For first time referrals, a healthcare professional such as your GP, nurse or occupational therapist will need to fill out a referral form.

If you have a complex condition or specialist needs for the wheelchair, an occupational therapist will then do a face-to-face assessment.

Wheelchairs and any equipment will be provided to those with a long-term mobility need. Equipment provided includes:

  • manual wheelchairs
  • indoor/outdoor Wheelchairs
  • buggies
  • cushions

Once registered with the wheelchair service

The service will continue to support you to see how you are getting on.
