The Megacentre Rayleigh – Family Support

The MegaCentre Family Support team run programmes for local children and families.  They are lead by professional family support workers and aim to support families coping with a wide range of different needs.

They offer the following clubs and parent groups.

The Mix

• SEN family club with activities including arts and crafts, Lego, games, sports
• For 0 to 11 year olds with additional needs, parents/carers and siblings
• Wednesdays, 4:30pm to 6pm (term time)

Dads and Kids

• Father and kids club with activities including pool, table tennis, arts and craft, Lego, games and sports
• For 4 to 11 year olds, fathers and father figures
• Saturdays, 10am to 12pm (term time)

Twins Parent Group

• Coffee morning for parents of twins (or more)
• For twin babies (or more) and parents/carers
• Provides support and advice, and a chance for children to play and make friends
• First and third Thursday of the month, 1pm to 3pm (term time)

SEND Parents Group

• Coffee morning for parents of children with additional needs
• Provides, information support and advice
• For parents/carers of children with any additional need
• Third Friday of the month, 10am to 12pm (term time)

ADHD Parents Group

• Coffee morning for parents of children with ADHD
• Provides, information support and advice to help your child with ADHD (no diagnosis needed)
• For parents/carers of children with ADHD
• First Monday of the month, 10am to 12pm (term time)

Down Syndrome Baby and Toddler Group

• Baby and toddler group for parents of children with Down Syndrome. There is also the opportunity to seek advice from specialist pre-school teachers and SENCOs
• For babies and toddlers with Down Syndrome and their parents/carers
• First Thursday of the month, 10am to 11.30am (term time)

Mega Monday

• SEN soft play session
• For 0 to 11 year olds with additional needs, parents/carers and siblings (there is some flexibility around age)
• Third Monday of the month, 4.30pm to 6pm (term time)

Parentalk Course

• Parentalk programmes are for parents/carers of primary and secondary school age children
• For parents/carers
