
NHS Wheelchair Service – Brentwood
The Brentwood wheelchair service provides wheelchairs to children and adults in Brentwood who have a permanent disability which prevents them walking.
How to access
Adults or children in need of a wheelchair because of a permanent disability, must be registered with a GP in Brentwood.
You must be referred by a healthcare professional, such as a GP, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
Your mobility needs will be assessed and the most suitable long-term wheelchair and any equipment will be provided. Equipment provided includes:
- manual wheelchairs
- indoor/outdoor Wheelchairs
- buggies
- cushions
Once registered with the wheelchair service
The service will continue to support you to see how you are getting on.
Once you are registered with the wheelchair service, you can self refer for review.
