Children’s Physiotherapy Service – North East Essex
The role of the Physiotherapist is to assess and manage children and young people with movement disorders, disability or illness.
The aim of the physiotherapist is to help the child/young person reach their full potential through providing physical intervention, advice and support.
Who the service provides for
Children registered with a North East Essex GP.
Children and young people who attend Special schools in North East Essex aged up to 19 years.
Children and young people who attend mainstream school in North East Essex aged up to 18 years.
Hours of operation
9.00 - 17.00
How the service is accessed
Completion of referral form by referrer
Health Professionals both within and external to ACE e.g. Paediatrician, GPs, AHPs, CAMHS
Educational establishments e.g. nurseries, pre-school placements, mainstream schools, colleges, special schools,
Educational Psychologists & other local authority staff
