Wells Park School

Wells Park School is a community special school.

Wells Park School have provision to meet the needs of boys with behavioural, emotional or social difficulties who have an EHC plan. The children board from Monday to Friday during term time.

The residential accommodation is located in the main school building on two floors and arranged in four groups (called “houses”) with each house supporting a maximum of ten children. Children are placed in a house according to their age, behavioural difficulty and compatibility. Children may move houses according to their changing needs and parents are involved and consulted before a child transfers to another house.

During the night, the children are cared for by two night-time supervisors who makes regular checks on the children. Two senior members of staff are available on call throughout the night. In addition, many staff live within the school grounds to support the residential provision of the school. CCTV is operated in the hallways and lounge areas to safeguard the children without invading their privacy.

Age range:

Wells Park School provides provision to boys aged 5 to 11 with an EHC plan.
