Person Centred Meetings
One Planning is a continual process of listening and learning, conducted within a framework of scheduled planning and review meetings, sometimes known as ‘team around the child’ meetings. Such meetings may be convened at the point of initial concerns, or as part of the graduated approach to supporting children/young people with SEND, but they should all be conducted in a person centred manner.
Schools may refer to a simple checklist to make sure all preparations have been made before a person-centred meeting takes place.
My One Planning meeting – an example of a booklet for pupils, written in symbols and words, to capture (over a period of time before the meeting) the type of information required for a person centred planning or review meeting.
