Touch and sound books – Essex Libraries

Help children touch, feel and develop vocabulary.

Search the Essex Libraries catalogue for ‘touchy feely books’ and ‘sound effects books.’ For children under five, ask library staff for a free Booktouch pack.

Giant print books 

Point size 24 and above books.

Search the Essex Libraries catalogue for ‘extra large print’ or search on the RNIB National Library Service website.

Access2Books Books in giant print and braille with illustrations. Gives children and adults the opportunity to read together.
E-books Download and read books electronically so you can resize text.
