‘This is Me’ Project

December 9, 2019

‘This is Me’ is a project delivered by Together for Short Lives, a UK charity which supports seriously ill children and their families.  The project gives young people with life-limiting conditions the chance to express themselves and tell their story through the creative arts.  This could be in the form of a:

  • poem
  • short story
  • blog article
  • song
  • photo

It’s an opportunity for young people to develop self-awareness and express who they really are, beyond just being a “patient”. For others, it may be an opportunity to leave a legacy behind and to think about how they want to be remembered.  All entries will be shared on the Together for Short Lives website and on social media to raise awareness of the experiences of seriously ill young people. They will also be shown as part of an exhibition at the Together for Short Lives conference in March 2020 in Manchester.

The deadline for your creative piece of work is 20 January 2020. Email your entries to info@togetherforshortlives.org.uk with the following consent form:
